What is RVL, and where is it made?

RVL stands for Resin Vinyl Laminate: a flexible, PVC-based decorative surface manufactured in South Korea. It is used on cabinetry, furniture, doors and other interior surfaces.

How is RVL different from HPL?

RVL is a flexible laminate supplied in rolls, making it useful for long surfaces and curved details. HPL is generally supplied as rigid sheets. RVL also avoids the conventional dark core line at exposed edges. Choose the material and application method to suit the project.

Is it a self-adhesive sticker?

No. Our laminate requires a separately applied, compatible adhesive. This lets the fabricator choose the adhesive and pressing process for the substrate and working conditions.

What thicknesses do you offer?

Our interior laminate range comes in 0.30 mm and 0.60 mm for carpenters and interior designers. Door manufacturers can explore our separate 0.17 mm project range.

Do I need to buy a full roll?

No. You can order 5, 10 or 20 metres, or choose a full roll: 50 metres for 0.60 mm and 150 metres for 0.30 mm.

How wide is the laminate?

The interior laminate roll width is 1,250 mm.

How do I check a colour or request a sample?

Browse Finishes for the decor name and code, then send your shortlist on WhatsApp. Ask our team about physical samples before confirming your order. Lighting and screens can affect the colours you see online.

Which white textures are available?

WT4037-55 is leather, WT4037-22 is hairline and WT4037-4A is plain. Off White is GY1703-4A. Digital swatches are indicative; a physical sample is the best way to assess colour and grain.

What glue should I use?

We recommend EVA white glue. A suitable PU adhesive used for HPL work can also be an option. Choose according to your substrate and working schedule: allow around one day for EVA white glue to dry in our typical workshop workflow; suitable fast-bonding PU options allow quicker initial handling. Initial bond is not the same as full cure. Follow the specific adhesive manufacturer’s compatibility, pressing and curing instructions, and ask our team if you are unsure.

How do I get the price and availability?

Send the finish code, thickness, cut length or roll quantity, and delivery location on WhatsApp. Our team will confirm your quotation and availability.

How should the surface be prepared?

Use a smooth, clean and even substrate. Repair dents, ridges and other uneven areas before lamination: thin, flexible laminate can reveal irregularities underneath. Trial the laminate and adhesive on a sample before starting the full job.

Can it be used on curved surfaces?

Its flexibility makes RVL suitable for curved cabinetry and interior details. The achievable curve depends on the thickness, substrate, adhesive and fabrication method. Share your drawing or a sample with us before committing to a tight radius.

Is the finished cabinet waterproof?

The laminate surface is water resistant, but the performance of the finished cabinet also depends on the substrate, adhesive, joints and edge sealing. A water-resistant surface does not make the entire assembly waterproof.

Can I put hot cookware directly on the laminate?

Avoid direct contact with hot cookware and other hot objects. Use a protective mat and keep the laminate away from direct heat. Check suitability with our team for applications near heat sources.

How should unused rolls be stored?

Keep rolls upright and protected from direct sunlight, heat and impact. Store them in a clean indoor area and follow the storage guidance supplied with your order.

Can I order plywood with the laminate already applied?

Yes, ask us about laminated plywood in your chosen decor. Share the board dimensions, thickness and quantity you need so we can confirm the available options.

Can you help with technical information for a project?

Send the decor code, laminate thickness, substrate and intended use, together with any specification requirements. Our team can confirm the relevant product information and available supporting documents for your selection.
